SoA Portfolio Workshop for Architecture & Interior Design

Event Description: Join us for Woodbury's School of Architecture Portfolio Workshop! Hosted on Saturday, February 20th, at 10am.

This virtual workshop is for students considering either of our campuses - Burbank or San Diego.

Schedule

10AM - Dean's Introduction

10:15-11:15AM - Session 1
Choose ONE of the following breakout rooms for this session:

- BREAKOUT 1A: Graphics and Layout Workshop
An instructor will go over the basics of putting together a digital portfolio.
Topics include: choice of font type and size, layout (image placement, blank space, page orientation), software.

- BREAKOUT 1B: Portfolio Review 1
Have your portfolio (finished or in-progress*) reviewed by our Architecture and Interior Design faculty for feedback to help improve your graphic portfolio, or you can observe other portfolios being reviewed (no portfolio required).

11:15-11:30AM - Transition Time

11:30AM-12:30PM - Session 2
- BREAKOUT 2A: Portfolio Review 2
This session is intended for students who participated in the Graphics and Layout workshop to have their portfolio (finished or in-progress*) reviewed by our Architecture faculty for feedback, or you can observe other portfolios being reviewed (no portfolio required).

- BREAKOUT 2B: Extra Portfolio Review (Optional)
Time and faculty permitting, a student from Portfolio Review 1 may have an opportunity to request a portfolio review from a second faculty member.

12:30-1PM - Virtual tour of the Making Complex (Optional)

* If you choose to have your portfolio reviewed, please set up your file for easy presentation, such as a multi-page PDF.

Description: Join this session if you would like to get tips on how to create your digital portfolio in Photoshop and Illustrator. Our instructor will go over, image quality, layout, page orientation, font choice, image and text placement, etc.

Students who participate in the Graphics and Layout workshop will have an opportunity to participate in the 11:30AM Portfolio Review.
