MBA Sample Lecture and Information Session 06.09.20

Event Description: Woodbury University's MBA program invites you to visit our "Diversity Inclusion" course to experience what it really is like to be an MBA student. You will have the opportunity to meet with current MBA students, faculty, and speak with an admissions counselor. The course will be taught by Dean, Dr. Joan Marques.

The Sample Lecture will be followed by an Admissions Information Session.

Course description:

This course is designed to prepare students in navigating more comfortably through diverse settings, in order to improve their ability to create an innovative, morally and emotionally sound performance atmosphere. The course will encourage students to engage in self-exploration, while analyzing and understanding their mental models. It will sharpen their critical thinking on topics such as identity, relationships across difference and bias, and equality of opportunity in organizations around the world and how they relate to organizational issues of diversity, equity, and inclusion. Class sessions will be experiential and discussion-based, will draw upon economic, psychological, organizational, and cultural insights, and will entail readings, self-reflection, case studies, guest lectures, and a final team project.
